Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Steap LLC ("Steap", "we", "us") collects through steaphealth.com (the "Site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
It covers this Site only. Our shop at steap.com has its own privacy policy.

- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
- The Site does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
- Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us to delete your information at any time.

Information we collect
Information you give us
- Email address, when you sign up for the newsletter.
- Your email address, and your name and message if you choose to give them, when you use our contact form.
- Anything you write to us, if you contact us by email.
Information recorded when you sign up
- The date and time of your signup.
- Which signup form and which page of the Site you used.
- Campaign tags in the link that brought you to the Site (for example, tags that show you arrived from a particular advertisement or post).
Technical information collected automatically
Like most websites, the companies that host the Site and its images receive standard technical information whenever a page or image is requested. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the date and time. It is kept in server logs and used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and fix problems.
What we do not collect
- We do not ask for health information, and we ask that you do not include any when you contact us.
- We do not collect payment information on this Site.
- We do not collect precise location, government identification numbers or other sensitive personal information.
Cookies and tracking
The Site does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not contain advertising pixels or other tools that follow you across websites. Our hosting provider may use a strictly necessary cookie for security, for example to tell real visitors from automated attacks.
No third party collects personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Site.
Newsletter emails. Our emails are sent for us by an email service provider. Like most newsletters, they record whether an email was opened and which links in it were clicked. We use this to see which articles are useful and to stop emailing addresses that no longer read them.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal. Because we do not track visitors across websites and do not sell or share personal information, the Site works the same way whether or not it receives one of these signals. There is nothing for the signal to switch off.
How we use information
- To send you the newsletter you asked for. The newsletter may include clearly labeled information about Steap products.
- To understand, in total, which pages and campaigns lead people to sign up.
- To operate, secure and improve the Site.
- To reply when you contact us.
- To comply with the law and to protect our rights and the rights of others.
Steap also operates steap.com. If you subscribe to the newsletter and are also a steap.com customer, we may connect your newsletter subscription with your customer record, using your email address, to understand whether our articles are useful to our customers and to avoid sending you messages that do not apply to you.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
How we share information
We share personal information only in these situations:
- Service providers. Companies that host the Site, store our database (including newsletter signups and contact form messages) and deliver our emails process information for us. They may use it only to provide those services to us.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or if we believe in good faith that it is needed to protect someone's safety, to prevent fraud, or to protect our rights.
- Business changes. If Steap is involved in a merger, sale or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of it. The new owner would have to honor this policy or tell you about any change.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not give personal information to other companies for their own direct marketing.
How long we keep information
- Newsletter information is kept for as long as you are subscribed.
- After you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a "do not email" list so that we do not contact you again by mistake. Ask us and we will delete it entirely.
- Server logs are kept by our hosting providers for a limited period and then deleted.
- Messages you send us, by the contact form or by email, are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and for our records.
Your choices and rights
Unsubscribe. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email team@steaphealth.com and we will remove you. We act on unsubscribe requests promptly, and in any case within 10 business days.
See, correct or delete your information. You can ask us:
- what personal information we hold about you, and for a copy of it;
- to correct information that is wrong;
- to delete your information.
To make a request, email team@steaphealth.com from the address the request is about, so that we can confirm it is yours. We will respond within 45 days. We do not charge for this, and we will not treat you differently for making a request. You may also have someone you have authorized in writing make a request for you.
We honor these requests from everyone, wherever you live and whether or not the law requires us to.
California residents
California law gives residents specific rights over their personal information, including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for using these rights.
In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information, from you directly and from your use of the Site, for the purposes described above:
- Identifiers: email address, IP address, and your name if you give it to us.
- Internet activity: the pages requested, and the form, page and campaign tags recorded when you sign up.
We disclosed these categories to our service providers for the business purposes described above. We have not sold or shared personal information, including the personal information of anyone under 16, and we do not collect or use sensitive personal information. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is no sale or sharing to opt out of.
To use any of these rights, see "Your choices and rights" above.
"Shine the Light." California Civil Code section 1798.83 lets California residents ask what personal information a business has disclosed to third parties for those third parties' direct marketing. We do not disclose personal information for that purpose.
Children
The Site is written for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email team@steaphealth.com and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections and restricted access to our subscriber list. No website or email system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Visitors outside the United States
The Site is operated from the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States. If you use the Site from another country, your information will be handled in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
Links to other sites
The Site links to steap.com and to outside sources. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also tell you with a notice on the Site or by email before it takes effect.
